What If You Just Turned Your Magic All the Way the F*ck On, from the title alone, beckons you to reach for it. Inside, Hadiiya affirms the feminine and encourages us to turn up- not tone down, care about our individual selves, be our most authentic selves and shine. Hadiiya does a beautiful job of reminding women that we are whole, worthy and magical simply because we exist and we should marvel in that and create from that truth. She shares my belief that women are not reduced to their age, waist-hip-ass ratio, hair length or texture, career, etc. There is no "ideal" or standard woman, we are all fly in our unique ways. There is no standard. F*ck what the society or media says. Untie the laces of comparison and just be.
You don't need more time in your day, you need to decide -Hadiiya Barbel
I especially found the read to be perfect reminders for this time in world history where we are all being forced to slow down, face our shadows, contrasts and inequalities and to reflect more on who we are and how we are being. Hadiiya goads you to shine bright AF, grow, understand that growth induced discomfort is only temporary and that the expansion is imminent. But you must do the internal work to believe in yourself- no one else can do that for you. Your magic comes from you, not anything outside of you.
