It's the year of the entrepreneur, I'm declaring it. It's time for us to go for ours this year in 2015. If you're not in your dream career now, you probably daydream about what you'd like to be doing. What puts a fire in your heart and makes your soul dance uninhibited? If it's something creative, you may feel like it can't support your current lifestyle or your family and bills. Some of us can't afford to be or feel we're too old (or grown n sexy) to be living the starving artist experience. Lifestyles of the Authentic & Creative: Hustle Guide says that whole broke and starving artist living is for the birds. It's over and played out. Artists' contributions to the world are just as necessary and fundamental to the human experience as doctors, engineers and lawyers are. Author Meca McKinney jam packs this publication with interviews with artists and creatives living their professional dreams and doing more than just getting by, they're thriving. Meca interviewed artists of various mediums who are making their passion/s their paycheck. Some artists included musicians, fashion designers, crafters, even a shoe cobbler and accessory designers. Many of these artists, including Meca, have children also and through working for themselves were better able to maintain a work life balance. The interviews share their journeys and some of what makes them tick. Often, as the outsider looking in, we only see the end product and think people have always had it that way. Learning even just small portions of their journeys and thought processing gives more insight and encouragement that if they can do it, we can too.

This e-book inspired me immensely because I declared that this year I am more actively pursuing and indulging in my art, creativity and things that I'm passionate about. I will become wealthy working for myself doing what I love. It excited me and inspired me to go for mine; that I am totally able to support myself, and my future family one day, doing what I love and on my own terms. If you're feeling hesitant to pursue your passions, reading this book may inspire you to go forward with less fear and doubt. You CAN make a living doing what you love. You CAN pay your bills and live the life you want doing what you love and are passionate about. This is so encouraging and exciting. Just keep at it. Your passion can be your paycheck.
