Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk is Good For

on


- Detangling your hair with

- Moisturizing your sets with without disturbing the set pattern

- Moisturizing hair, period

- Use as a leave in conditioner

These are the ways, in my experiences, that this product works best.

It doesn't offer any hold really, so I wouldn't use it as a styling aid. It is definitely best when used to give dry hair moisture.

I really dig that this hair milk isn't a wet milk. It's more like a "solid" yet thin cream so it doesn't make my braid outs, twist outs, roller sets, etc revert when I apply it. I imagine this may be a good moisturizer for straightened hair as well for this exact same reason. Don't know when I'll straighten my hair to test out that last theory of mine. Any of you used this to moisturize on straightened hair? If so, what were your results?

Ive used it on straightened hair and definitely got some slow reverting action. A slight wave, not completely reverted corkscrew curls. It went from straight to a blowout look.

I bought the Shea Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. It definitely softens and detangles. I have locs and after using the products, I felt like I needed to start over. I probably could have brushed my hair and it would have been straight.

I love the Shea Moisture line (yes! I have tried it all :P ). My top favorite is the coconut hibiscus poo and condish! and second is their Shea Butter poo and condish. The others (Yucca & Baobab, African Black Soap) make my hair feel dry and tangly. And yes, I love the Coconut Hibiscus Conditioning milk for its super detangling and moisturising properties. I accidentally discovered today that mixing equal amount of that with knot today made detangling much easier for my tangled, type 4, mid size, fro who had survived a failed attempt at slick ponytail with gel. Bad bad idea!:(

I recently used this hair milk on towel dried hair and it was pretty cool. Two days later my hair is really soft. But I had to add some oil because it doesn't offer me the shine I like.

I'll definitely use in the warmer months for wash and go's.
