Hey ladies in the greater New York City area. My girl Kat from The Naturalista Files, has planned a natural hair meet up. Below are the quick details:

What: Natural Hair Meet Up
Where: Madiba Restaurant 195 Dekalb Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11205
When: Saturday, August 14th, 2010 from 12 noon -4p
Why: We want to celebrate and talk natural hair, eat some great food and meet other naturals

Bummer! I wish I could come to this. But just so you know, your blog has helped re-inspire me on my hair journey! I have been natural for 13 years and was starting to neglect my hair. But reading about all the newbies on your site (and curlynikki who I discovered through you) has gotten my back on track! And my hair is truly thankful. Can't wait to see more dangerous styles ;-)
